FINK, originally from Ermont (Paris), began his journey as a tagger-graffiti artists on the trains of the northern suburbs of Paris in 2001, armed with ultra-resistant car paint to fill his markers. In 2002, under the influence of his friend Opea, he made his first painting on the exterior of a train. His friend passed away in 2005, electrocuted in the Paris metro. This tragic loss strengthened Fink’s determination to keep alive the passion his friend had passed on to him: painting trains and subways without ever stopping. His first book, a true tribute to his artistic journey, captures over twent years of bold creations painted on these rolling canvasses around the world.
After more than 20 years of painting trains, Fink presents his first book. It is a selection of paintings on trains and subways, featuring characters as well as “special panels.” You will discover different beautiful train models from France, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Argentina, Chile, and Bolivia. This book is a true tribute to his influences. It contains over 170 photos, accompanied by the times, dates, locations, and cameras used, as well as anecdotes and descriptions.
